Family Fun on Monday: Honor Dr. King!

Put on your marching shoes and join the fun at the 22nd Annual El Cerrito Martin Luther King Parade and Celebration on Monday, January 17!

We gather for the parade at 9:00 a.m. in the DMV parking lot at Kearney and Manila. After enjoying some food, the parade, including a 12-horse contingent of the Bay Area Black Cowboys, will march off at 9:30 a.m. The parade goes down San Pablo and up Moeser and down Ashbury. Bikes, strollers, roller skates, etc., are welcome at the parade!

The Mistress of Ceremonies, Assemblywoman Nancy Skinner, will lead a program of music, dancing and speeches, including Rev. Darrell Wesley, Chaplain, US Navy. This is a fun and inspiring time for the whole family. The program runs 10:30 - 12 noon at the ECHS Gym.

This event is sponsored by the El Cerrito Human Relations Committee, St. Peter CME Church, El Cerrito NAACP, And West Contra Cost Unified School District. For more info, call Patricia Durham.
