Back to School Night Teacher Gift Ideas . . .

. . . Tissues, Papertowels, Anti-Germ Wipes and Soap, Pencils, and Paper Always Appreciated . . .

Runny noses and other cold/flu symptoms are already showing up in our student population. The PTSA would like to encourage parents planning to attend Back to School to bring in boxes of tissues, rolls of paper towels, anti-bacterial/anti-germ wipes, and disinfecting soaps like Purell to give to your student's teachers, the library, the main office, or to drop off in a big box that will be in the school lobby for that purpose. Note: There is going to be an ongoing need for these items -- they're not supplied by the district -- so anytime you can send these things in with your kid or drop them off at the main office, your consideration will be greatly appreciated.

Let's help our school be prepared to do its best to keep our kids and the staff healthy and enable the teachers to keep their focus on teaching.

The teachers would also love getting extra pencils (kids always forget to bring them) and reams of pastel-colored paper (for variety). Classes are large and supplies and time are tight, so teachers really need our help this year in order to create interesting classwork and homework. When you go up to introduce yourself at Back to School Night, find out what kinds of things the teacher needs (some may hand out a wish list) and also offer your help if you have the time -- you don't need to be fingerprinted or fill out forms to help occasionally in the classroom or to prepare materials outside of class.
